This work assignment is the result of the challenge launched by Prof. Rosário Santos in the English Applied to Tourism course.
The main objective of this presentation is to give a better understanding of the Macanese culinary culture, creating a link between tradition and modernity. Throughout the paper we will focus our attention on some structural points: History and culture; influences and characteristics; typical dishes; where to eat in Portugal.
As a support of the theoretical research we will present a show cooking, where a typical Macanese dish will be cooked in front of the audience.
More than a theoretical work we wanted to create a useful guide for those interest in discovering this amazing food culture.
